Pet Care at a Huge Savings!

This week, I started looking for an affordable veterinarian to have the 3 kittens(Chance, Tricks and Leah) neutered and spayed. Now I also need to have all the apropriate vaccinations for the dog (Rockefeller), since he will be traveling to PR with me and the kids. What a pleasant surprise to find that a national chain of pet suppliers offer more than just pet food and grooming services.

Certain Petco locations offer spay/neuter clinics, dog training, doggie day camps and so much more. Here's how it works. They don't sell dogs or cats and promote proper care of pets including spaying and neutering. You make an appointment with the vet's office (they provide the phone number), you bring the dog or cat to the store, then return after the operation to take them home. For $50.00 each, the kittens will be "fixed" and receive a rabies shot. That is a huge savings. Vets can be very costly.

If you live in a small community, you might want to check your town hall and see if they provide free rabies clinics. Register your dog/cat and they send you a letter informing you of the FREE rabies clinic. Check it out and see if your town or city provides this service. A rabies shot is not that expensive, but when you add the vet's fee? It gets pricey.

I hope that you find this information useful. Make sure to click on the link and enter your zip code to see the full details of the services offered by your local PETCO!
